I was given the beautiful gift of a grandson last week.  When you hold a new baby in your arms for the first time, it’s hard to put into words how you feel.  The promise of new life is limitless.

My prayer for this baby boy is that he finds all the love he can ever need in his loving Christian home.   I hope he will be raised surrounded by a wonderful church family where he will learn about God’s love.   I hope he will have a community of faith that will extend from his home to his church, school and friends so that he is protected from harm.  I hope that he will grow to be a strong man of faith so that others can see G0d’s light shining through him.

Please Lord, keep my grandson in your arms.  Love him, comfort him, and protect him always.  Amen.
