Happy Anniversary
This weekend I was blessed to spend the weekend in New Orleans with my husband Harold. We just celebrated our 36th anniversary! I’m feel incredibly thankful to have reached this milestone!
We live in such a crazy world these days. Marriage can be hard even when you love someone with all your heart. Our world tells us that we deserve the best, it’s all about us and we should put ourselves above everyone and everything else.
I believe marriage calls for the complete opposite. It means putting someone else before you. 1 Corinthians 4 through 7 says it best. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.”
Thank you Lord for the guidance we need in marriage, and in all aspects of our life. We could not do it without you! I pray for many more years together. But whatever the future brings, with God’s help, He will see us through!
