Confused??? This is my front yard. Yes, I know it’s the middle of February. And even though we live in the deep south, my azaleas seem to be very confused. The confusion the seasons are experiencing seems to be carrying over into other aspects of my everyday life. I am very confused about a lot of things; at the moment I am confused about technology. My Iphone is not working like it should! I don’t understand why and I am totally…..
October 23, 2016 There is nothing like a beautiful fall morning to help me put things into perspective. If you watch TV, look on Facebook or any other social media, you will be immediately bombarded with disgusting political ads that can make you physically sick. I have always said that I was a Disgruntled Independent, but it’s even more true now. So how do we quiet the noise? Go outside. Breathe in the fresh, clean air. Look at the leaves that…..
I have to constantly remind myself that God’s timing is always the best timing. It’s been a year now since I published my book God’s Glorious Garden. It has been a frustrating year. I had no idea what to expect. Of course like every author, I dreamed it would be an immediate success. Unfortunately not. I have had moderate success, it’s now available in two book stores locally. I must also thank my many friends, family and my church family…..

Our world tells us that we deserve the best, it’s all about us and we should put ourselves above everyone and everything else. I believe…..

While keeping my six and a half year old granddaughter this week, I asked her for advice on our world today. She said, ” Love everybody in this world. Be kind and nice to everyone. Love every country, and love God and nature”. Wow! How simple yet how profound. I wonder why we can’t all share this simple perspective on life. People would help those in need, and we could stop worrying about the proliferation of violence that seems to be…..
I love sitting on my front porch and watching a gentle rain. This is a blessing I do not take for granted. I retired a few years ago because of a disability. I am thankful to be at home and in pretty good health! It’s interesting how God makes us all different. We all have our own personal journey to navigate. Some people seem to have a journey that is very easy. Some find it difficult to make it through…..
Have you ever wondered why we have weeds? I’ve been helping a friend pull weeds in her yard. Often when I pull weeds I am reminded that weeds can be a lot like people. Have you ever thought about that? Some people are like beautiful flowers, always happy and smiling. Some people are just like weeds; crabby, ugly and quite a nuisance! I’m not saying all weeds are ugly, and I’m not saying people can be ugly all the time……
